We are one of the few detective agencies who retain Computer Forensics in-house (rather than externally) - a significant advantage in having integrating all aspects of evidence gathering. The assumption that deleting a computer file will erase the information has been many people's downfall - people will tell their computers secrets they wouldn't tell their best friend! a mistaken assumption of which we can help you to take advantage. Computers hold many secrets - We will recover deleted files, content with times and dates of web sites visited, email and instant messenger transcripts, images, videos, potentially anything held on a computer. |

- Methodology will vary from case to case, however the basics of an examination are likely to comprise:
- An initial copy being made of the hard drive, leaving the original machine intact and preserving evidence whole
- From a second copy, recovering and reconstructing files that have been deleted
- Creating a new web cache that shows internet sites visited in the format in which they were viewed
- Examination of email, instant messaging transcripts etc

Computer forensics is the application of computer investigation and analysis techniques in the interests of determining potential legal evidence. Evidence might be sought in a wide range of computer crime or misuse, including but not limited to theft of trade secrets, theft of or destruction of intellectual property, internet misuse and fraud. Our specialists have methods for discovering data that resides in a computer system, or recovering deleted, encrypted, or damaged file information. All work is done in-house using our own specialist. |
