According to a recent survey, employees are more informed than ever as to their employment rights. 88% of employees say they would consider making a claim to a tribunal, compared to 34% in a similar survey from 1995.
Of those surveyed nearly all had at some time a serious workplace argument or dispute with their employer and in 70% of cases this remained unresolved. 4 out of 5 employees believed their employer was not well informed
